Glasgow SPRED Centre:

The Training Centre is situated in St Philomena’s parish in the north-east of the city. Six groups meet there: a children’s group, a teenage group, a young adult groups and 3 adult groups.

In the south of the city there are 9 groups: a children’s group in St Margaret Mary’s, a teenage group in Holy Cross, a young adult group in Christ the King and 5 adults groups: St Gabriel’s, St Helens’, Our Lady & St George’s and 3 at Holy Cross.

Between Dumbarton and Bearsden in the west of the city there are 7 groups: one teenage group in St Eunan’s and 6 adult groups: St Andrew’s, St Stephen’s, St Michael’s, St Martin’s, St Eunan’s, Immaculate Conception.

Cumbernauld have 3 adult groups encompassing all 5 parishes. Between Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs there are 2 adult groups, one based in St Dominic’s and one in Holy Family.

Since the ultimate goal of SPRED is that people with learning difficulties will assume their rightful place in the parish community, liturgies which are inclusive are prepared twice a year while at St Philomena’s where the Training Centre is situated these liturgies are once a month. Our next SPRED Mass is on 1st November 2015 at 10.45am.
